First of all my name is Amanda and I just adore The Rocky Horror Picture Show......actually you could almost say that I'm a little obsessed with it.....if I never saw it I don't know what I'd be doing with myself right now! I've seen the movie a total of 115 times(As of November 6th,2002) AND COUNTING! Not to mention the countless times I've watched individual scenes in slow motion to get the moves right & dances perfected.*Applause* *I'd like to accept this award on behalf on my sanity* *bows* If you yourself have seen RHPS you thought one of two things......
(A)What was that!?
(B)Oh my goodness, oh my goodness I'm in love!
Why do I LOVE the Picture Show?
When you go and see RHPS in theater it's so overwhelming.......dressing up and being part of the movie makes all the difference. The people you'll meet are open-minded(usually!) and don't care what others think......they don't judge you and you don't judge them because you have one of the most wonderful things in common........you're both part of something that you love. When I put on my rhps persona's it's is the best feeling in the world.....getting to be someone that you appreciate about so much.
My RHPS accomplishments...
Memorized the movie (lines,songs,movements...facials expressions) *Some of you can understand this , lol
I can apply all the character make~up (now that's some sweet spare time)
And my proudest accomplishment........ Columbia's Tap Dance ;)
......I'd like to move to London one day.... or at least visit*
Dreams?
To play Dr.Frank N Furter & Columbia onstage. Join the CIRCUS! I have been moved to one day study gender consulting ( assisting those born into the wrong gender through counseling and other forms of help ). I'd also love to do Broadway one day & and meet others with the same stage aspirations......
